Anthea enjoys creating training for non-traditional programs, like apprenticeships. “I believe we can take methods of design that academia has found to be successful and apply the best parts to less traditional programs. The goal is to honor the uniqueness of every program.”
For instance, apprenticeships often have a hands-on or lab element. This is perfect for something like a constructivist approach,
where the trainer acts as a “guide on the side” for learners as they work on their own or in groups, allowing them to make their own discoveries in their own time. This is often a more successful method of training than the lecture format.
